Because of we are a traditional style Winery has always been in forefront of innovation and modernity. Because of we take a chance on local varieties and import foreign varieties adjusting them to our land in optimal  conditions.

Furthermore, Daniel Belda is both an enologist and owner of the traditional family winery “Bodega J. Belda” founded in 1931. He manages and makes high-class wines based on personal choices and ways of working. His wines display his artistic touch, as seen through the production of wines, which are mainly of the varietal type, leading to wines of high enological standing that are noted for their excellent quality.


Our vineyards are rooted in a limestone-layer drained, sandy loam soil at the foot of a hillside facing southwards, at a height of 600 mts, giving rise to very characteristic conditions for the cultivation of our vines.

We were born in 1931 and since then we have been thereflection of innovation and modernity in our environment. Butwithout leaving aside those traditional values that marked andmark our raison d’être.

From our beginnings we have opted for autochthonousvarieties saving them from omission to which others had relegated them.

We also have the honor year after year to be the first winery inEurope to bottle our precious white wine Verdil, a variety native to the Vall dels Alforins.
